BASIC TEST CRITERIA
" Candidate must understand
where and what the three basic controls on the bike are for. (THROTTLE,
CLUTCH AND BRAKES)
" Candidate must demonstrate
a basic understanding of how these controls work. (e.g. pulling
the clutch in stops the drive)
" Safety equipment,
" Always wear helmet with chinstrap fastened.
" Always wear goggles
" Always ride with arms and legs covered
" Always wear gloves
" Arms and legs must be covered
" If available wear motocross riding boots
" Always wear body armour
" Always wear kidney belt
" Pre ride check "BOLTS"
BRAKES
OIL
LIGHTS (IF APPLICABLE)
TYRES (PRESSURE AND QUALITY)
SUSPENSION
" Pull away and stop under
control - Changing gear to 2nd when appropriate; braking without
stalling or skidding.
" Do a full circle in both
directions under control without putting either foot to the ground.
